The California Society for Ecological Restoration (SERCAL) relies exclusively on the momentum from its membership and volunteer board to advance the science, practice, and art of ecological restoration in California's many and varied ecosystems. Our annual conference — held each May in natural destinations across the state — is a great resource for technical education, professional networking, and keeping up to date with the latest. Fieldtrips and workshops are offered on a regular basis. Members receive discount to all these events; they also receive our quarterly newsletter, Ecesis, and the opportunity to get more involved in the strong volunteer community of board, conference, and committee service.

Sustaining Members receive quarterly recognition in Ecesis
Contributing, Sustaining, and Summit Circle memberships receive quarterly recognition in Ecesis. Business members receive these additional membership benefits — Summit Circle (6 copies per Ecesis issue and 6 discounted rates at SERCAL events), Sustaining (4 copies per Ecesis issue and 4 discounted rates at SERCAL events), Contributing (3 copies per Ecesis issue and 3 discounted rates at SERCAL events), and Nonprofit Organization (2 copies per Ecesis issue and one discounted rate at SERCAL events).
Only necessary if you are joining as a business member; otherwise type N/A

SERCAL memberships are calendar-year based, expiring on December 31 each year. Members receive their renewal notice in October as well as a separate ballot for board elections. There are discounted rates for joint memberships in SERCAL and the California Native Grassland Association (www.CNGA.org), for college students, and nonprofit organizations, as well as special memberships for those who wish to increase their financial support of the organization.
