Join Marin Municipal Water District on Mt. Tam for a day of restoration. Our meadows are home to sun-loving plants and animals and are hunting grounds for birds of prey. The fruits of our open canopy hardwoods — oaks, bay and madrone trees — nourish abundant forest wildlife. Volunteers will focus on removing young Douglas-fir trees on the Pine Point peninsula, halting the advancement of the fast-growing, shade-producing conifers and preserve the native habitat on Mt. Tam.
We will meet at 9 a.m. at the Lake Lagunitas parking lot.
