Looking Back… Leaping Forward: SERCAL 2017 in Davis

From May 10–12, 2017, over 200 conference attendees converged upon the UC Davis Campus to gather for SERCAL's 24th Annual Conference.  Special recognition was given to President's Award honoree Vic Claassen and Lifetime Achievement honoree John Anderson. A special shout-out to Conference Chair Harry Oakes, and many thanks to everyone who joined us and contributed their time, energy, and support of Restoration's Finest Annual Gathering!

We love our students! Saddleback College brought up 10 students, 6 of whom presented, and all of whom volunteered on the very busy first morning. Thank you!.

The Simplertones graced Wednesday evening’s poster reception with laid-back vocals and instrumentals. And did we mention that the food was amazing?

Participants had four post-conference fieldtrips from which to choose, three of which were modified to accommodate the still-high waters in the Sacramento region. Shown here are trips to the North Bay Tidal Marsh (left) and Cosumnes Floodplain (right).
